Agents with Depopulation offers,
If you intend to approve offers, we want to remind you about important actions you must take. Even if you have already approved offers, please review and verify your selections following the procedure outlined below.
Verify Your Selections
- SELECTION VIA WEBSITE: You received a system-generated email with your login credentials for the TWIA Depopulation website on April 1. Please log in to the TWIA Depopulation website to review offers. All selections are automatically saved. This process is shown in the job aid.
- If you would like to verify that you have successfully selected and approved offers, you can log out of the system. Then, log back in to see if there are selected carriers for each policy as you intended.
Key Reminders
The deadline is May 31, 2021 for entering into contracts with carriers and approving offers. If you do not want to participate in TWIA's Assumption Reinsurance Depopulation Program, no action is required. For any offers you do not approve, those policyholders will not be contacted and will remain with TWIA.
Notice of New Law & Program Improvements
As a reminder, the Texas Legislature passed a law in 2019 to change the depopulation programs and improve agent and policyholder experience by eliminating any decisions during storm season. These changes take effect this program year.
