Policyholder Notice and Certificate of Assumption Going Out February 15 Dear agents, The policyholder opt-out phase of the 2021-2022 Assumption Reinsurance Depopulation Program (“Assumption Program Round 5”) ended January 31. Next week a Notice of Assumption from TWIA and a Certificate of Assumption from depopulation insurers are going out to policyholders who did not opt out to let them know their policy will be automatically transferred March 1, 2022 as part of the Assumption Reinsurance Depopulation Program. See samples of these important documents below. Notice of Assumption from TWIA Certificate of Assumption from depopulation insurers You are being copied on all TWIA communications to policyholders via Policy Center. Only the TWIA Notice of Assumption (not the Certificate) will be available in the system. We will process and upload the notices over the next several weeks. As a reminder, here is your process for accessing communications through Policy Center: From the Search tab in Policy Center, search for the policy that has been selected for depopulation and open it Click “Documents” on the left sidebar Open the document(s) labeled “DepopNotice02152022_[Policy Number]_[Insured Name]” Here are other resources to help you through this phase of the program: Agent and Policyholders Communications Packet – contains depopulation information and answers to potential policyholder questions.
