Queen of Hearts Inaugural Lectureship in Ovarian Cancer Research

The Queen of Hearts Foundation Annual Educational Lecture provides an outlet for discussing and sharing cutting-edge advancements in ovarian cancer research, prevention and treatment. Each year, a world-renowned leader in the field delivers both a community lecture and grand rounds. This lecture is proudly supported through an endowment from the Queen of Hearts Foundation, whose unwavering commitment has created a lasting legacy in ovarian cancer research and patient care, advancing scientific knowledge, improving patient outcomes, training international medical professionals and establishing UC Irvine as a global leader in ovarian cancer research and treatment.

As deputy director of the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center and Director of Phase I Oncology Trials at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Dr. Kathleen Moore provides strategic leadership to expand access to innovative early-phase clinical studies and advance the center's research mission. Her work focuses on strengthening investigator-initiated and translational research while accelerating the development of novel cancer therapeutics to improve patient outcomes. Moore's leadership supports the cancer center's strategic priorities as it works toward National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center status. By enhancing the center's national research profile and expanding access to cutting-edge clinical trials, she is helping ensure that patients in Nebraska and the surrounding region benefit from the latest advances in cancer care.
