New Fall Elective: Strategy Execution and Digital Transformation (MGT 6474)
In Mod 2, I will be offering an expanded version of a new elective focused on strategy execution and digital transformation. In core strategy, you learned how to conduct both external and internal analysis—using frameworks to guide strategic decision-making. In this course we will drill down to explore strategy execution, focusing on the key operations of the business. We will learn a framework to help implement strategies by characterizing and ranking objectives, and identifying and monitoring success metrics.

Today, nearly every organization is working on digital transformation projects, but past data indicates that more than half of these initiatives will fail. We will examine cases of transforming companies (legacy and digital natives) to uncover potential obstacles and successful approaches. We will also see the importance of having an AI-resilient infrastructure, along with the best technologies, processes, and culture to foster success.

A Reminder From the Owen Honor Council

As we approach final exam week, we wanted to send a reminder from the Owen Honor Council to take time to review the honor code and exercise good judgment during a time of high pressure and stress. If there are any questions pertaining to the policies and procedures of the honor council, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Chair, Connor Parr, or Vice-Chair, Elliot Ford.

Thank you for doing your part to ensure that Vanderbilt Business continues to be a community characterized by integrity and honesty.

Good luck with exams!

Apply to be a 2nd Year MBA Recruiting & Admissions Fellow
The MBA Recruiting and Admissions Team is accepting applications for 2nd Year MBA Recruiting and Admissions Fellows. Fellows play a large part in the MBA admissions process and enhance the connection between current students and prospective students.
