Apply to be a 2nd Year MBA Recruiting & Admissions Fellow |
The MBA Recruiting and Admissions Team is accepting applications for 2nd Year MBA Recruiting and Admissions Fellows. Fellows play a large part in the MBA admissions process and enhance the connection between current students and prospective students.
The role of the 2nd Year Recruiting & Admissions Fellow includes: • Conducting candidate interviews and providing feedback to the MBA Recruiting & Admissions Team • Sharing your profile on the Owen website for prospective student questions over the summer and through Mod 1. Website profile includes your picture and email. 2nd Year students are replaced on the website by 1st Year Fellows after they are hired and trained (typically early Mod 2). • Optional opportunities to represent the MBA program during prospective and admitted student events. Event engagement is not always a paid opportunity - the RAO team will make it clear when the ask is paid or voluntary.
The position requires: • Commitment for the academic year. • Dedication to the Vanderbilt MBA Program mission. • Obligation to maintain professionalism and confidentiality. • An average of 3-5 hours a week. Fewer hours will be needed during off-cycle times, and more hours might be needed during busier times. • Submitting interview notes within 24 hours. • Attendance at all training sessions and calibration meetings.

Two weeks ago, Lydia Michael—Founder and Owner of Blended Collective, a multicultural marketing and brand consulting firm—visited the Owen classroom of Professor Anthony Salerno for an in-depth discussion on branding, multicultural marketing, and consumer-brand relationships. While there, Lydia discussed her new book, Brand Love, and how human emotion, culture, and connection are key drivers to ensuring effective marketing and branding.
