Health Sciences Hosts Display for Brain Injury Awareness Month
To mark Brain Injury Awareness Month, the Department of Health Sciences has placed 12 unique masks on display on the first floor of Bondurant Hall. The masks were created by traumatic brain injury survivors in the region to share their stories and provide education about the prevalence of brain injury.

NC Surgical Tower: Virtual Tour Available Now, Open House in April
The NC Surgical Tower is scheduled to open in May, and we are excited to begin sharing the new facility with our UNC Faculty Physicians and School of Medicine teammates. Check out this virtual tour on YouTube to learn more about the spaces.

School of Medicine faculty and staff members also are cordially invited to an open house to see the new North Carolina Surgical Hospital in person from 3 - 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 18. Faculty and staff should bring their School of Medicine or UNC Hospitals employee credentials to access the event.
 
 
Donate Platelets and Give the Gift of Life 
The UNC Hospitals’ Blood Donation Center needs platelet donations. By donating platelets, you can help cancer patients, premature babies, burn and trauma victims, and patients with blood disorders in critical need. If you are a club interested in offering service hours to members, platelet donation is a great opportunity!
