The Global Scholars in Residence applications are now open for the 2024-25 cycle!
The Global Scholars in Residence program provides financial support to faculty seeking to host a visiting scholar or group of scholars from a recognized non-U.S. institution of higher education or other non-U.S. non-profit educational and/or research-mission-driven entity. The submission deadline is March 29. Apply here.
To learn more about the Global Scholars in Residence Program, an informational session will be offered in the Author's Room of the Central Library on February 12, 12:10-1:00PM. Vice Provost Sharpley-Whiting and Julie Wilbers, Director of the International Student & Scholars Department, will answer any questions related to the application and visas.
Lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.

2/8: Greater China Business Club's Closing Bell |
The Greater China Business Club (GCBC) is hosting this week’s Closing Bell on Thursday, February 8 from 6:00 – 7:30PM CST. This special tradition gives every member of the Vanderbilt Business community an opportunity to meet beyond program distinction and, oftentimes, connect with alumni, faculty, and staff as well. Owen Black Students Association Commemorates Black History Month |
In commemoration of Black History Month, the Owen Black Students Association (OBSA) is thrilled to announce a series of programming taking place throughout the month of February. The events include Closing Bell, a trip to the National Museum of African American Music, Uncharted Speakers events, and opportunities to fellowship and support Black businesses. |

2/5-2/7: Suite 328 Ceiling Repair |
Starting Monday, February 5, we will have a crew onsite to repair the ceiling in Suite 328. The work will take about 3 days to complete. During this time, they should leave a walkway for faculty and staff to access the area when needed.
Since this is overhead work, please be mindful when walking into this space. |
