A Message from the Owen Behavioral Insights Lab

Vanderbilt Business Community,

Have you ever found yourself curious about the origins of the studies mentioned by your professors in class? Or have you pondered the inner workings of business-related research more generally? If so, this message is for you!

Many of our stellar Owen professors conduct pioneering research in the Owen Behavioral Insights Lab. Located just across the street from Owen at 2014 Broadway, our Behavioral Lab serves as a vibrant center for research activities, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and expertly trained Research Assistants. It is here that our research faculty test and refine hypotheses before being published and discussed in the classroom or in popular press. In fact, you can find a sampling of recent research findings discussed here

Inside the Owen Behavioral Insights Lab, you have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of behavioral research. Gain hands-on experience in data collection, analysis, and discovery, and witness firsthand how cutting-edge business research is developed and executed.

If you are intrigued and eager to participate in research, we invite you to visit our website and sign up for our paid pool. For those who aspire to join our team as Research Assistants and play an active role in shaping the future of business research, please contact us.

We look forward to connecting with you!

Survey: Housing Guide for Incoming Students
We are launching a short, anonymous survey to obtain information about current students’ housing experiences to help incoming students with their transition to Nashville. Securing housing is often one of the biggest stressors in the transition process for new students. Providing your feedback will help us create a helpful housing guide for incoming students to make confident housing decisions.

Please take 5 minutes to share your insights. The housing guide is being put together with the help of VeryApt, a startup in the real estate technology industry. The survey will not ask for name or contact information, and participation is optional. The deadline to complete the survey is Tuesday, November 28.
