By attending the Travel Exchange, travel agents achieved three of the four requirements to become a Certified Tiare Specialist. The last remaining step is simply to complete four bookings to the Islands of Tahiti.
Tahiti
Tourisme North America, TTNA, has already received incredible feedback
from participated travel agents. This great success is the result of
the amazing support from all our partners. We’d like to thank Air
Tahiti Nui for cosponsoring the travel exchange by offering special
fares. A special thank you to the partners who donated generously to
our prize-giveaways. TTNA sincerely appreciates the time and effort our
tour operators took to organize and escort their respective FAM trips
to coincide with the event. The preferred tour operators who
participated were: Brendan Worldwide Vacations, Classic Vacations,
Creative Leisure International, Happy Vacations, Islands In The Sun,
Jetabout Islands Vacations, Pleasant Holidays, Sunspots International,
Swain Tours, Tahiti Legends, and Tahiti Vacations.
Once again, we’d like to thank everyone who participated and supported our 3rd annual Tahiti Travel Exchange!

On February 7th, Tahiti welcomed 122 highly qualified travel agents and their tour operator from
29 states and Canadian provinces to attend the 3rd annual Tahiti Travel
Exchange. This one-day summit is the culmination of the efforts of
Tahiti Tourisme North America’s Preferred Tour Operator Partners in
North America and our Supply Partners in Tahiti.
After
an Orero Ceremony which kicked off the event, we were very pleased and
honored to have the President of GIE Tahiti Tourisme, Jacques Teheiura,
and our Minister of Tourism, Maina Sage, address the audience with
welcome speeches. A destination-focused presentation was given by
Tahiti Tourisme North America, and before lunch, Robert Wan
orchestrated a beautiful Perles of Tahiti Fashion Show. All travel
agents then spent the afternoon with suppliers being trained on the
products of Tahiti. The event ended with prize drawings, cocktails,
dinner, and cultural entertainment.
