Opening Doors: Brillion Townhomes

CAP Services has opened Brillion Townhomes, 24 units of affordable rental housing in Brillion, Wisconsin. The FHLBC awarded a $400,000 Affordable Housing Program subsidy to the project through American Bank and was represented at the ribbon cutting by Suzi Thackston, Community Investment Officer.

Opening Doors: Rethke Terrace

Heartland Housing, Inc. has officially opened Rethke Terrace in Madison, Wisconsin. The 60-unit project, a portion of which will be offered to veterans with histories of homelessness, provides residents with voluntary supportive services. The FHLBC awarded an $850,000 Affordable Housing Program subsidy to the project through BMO Harris Bank.

Opening Doors: A Safe Haven Veteran Village

A Safe Haven Foundation recently opened A Safe Haven Veteran Village in Chicago, Illinois. The project offers 35 units of uniquely designed permanent supportive housing for veterans and their families. The FHLBC awarded a $630,000 Affordable Housing Program subsidy to the project through MB Financial Bank.

Opening Doors: Glendale Commons

South Side Office of Concern has celebrated the opening of Glendale Commons in Peoria, Illinois. Twenty-eight newly constructed units will be offered to low-income households, those at risk for homelessness, and/or individuals affected by mental illness or developmental disabilities. The FHLBC awarded a $504,000 Affordable Housing Program subsidy to the project through Heritage Bank of Central Illinois and was represented at the event by Colleen Sheahan, AHP Operations Manager.

Opening Doors: Artist Lofts

Impact Seven and its partners hosted a ribbon cutting for Artist Lofts in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The 40-unit project involved the adaptive reuse of the former Mirro Plant #3 and is now the highest-rated energy-efficient, multi-family green development in the history of the Wisconsin Green Built Home program. The FHLBC awarded a $540,000 Affordable Housing Program subsidy to the project through Bank Mutual. Suzi Thackston represented the FHLBC at the event.
