Improved Efficiency through eMPF® |
|
New functionality is available on eMPF. PFIs can extend or reduce MPF® Traditional Product delivery commitments (DCs) with a self-service option. What prompted the development? PFIs asked for it and FHLBanks suggested it. Previously, to extend or reduce DCs, a PFI was required to phone the MPF Service Center and wait while information was entered and confirmed. This online option offers PFIs an easy method for processing these changes themselves. Throughout 2015, the MPF technology team is reviewing all of the functionality of eMPF and plans to rollout further enhancements during the next 18 months.
With self-directed extensions and reductions, PFIs will be able to view detailed information for active and inactive MPF Xtra® and MPF traditional DCs and retrieve DC-related transaction confirmation reports through the eMPF website. Please note that PFIs must continue to call the MPF Service Center to complete MPF Xtra product delivery commitment extensions and reductions.
The self-directed extensions and reductions can be found under the “Transactions” tab in the “Delivery Commitment” section. Since the implementation, about 90% of Traditional Product extensions and reductions have been done on the eMPF website by PFIs. The online transaction is fairly intuitive, but please call the MPF Customer Support Desk at 877-INFO-MPF (877-463-6673) with questions.
