Through a combined effort, three vacant buildings on Madison, Wisconsin's east side were converted into a 12-unit quality, affordable housing development known as Jenifer Place. The Wisconsin Fair Housing Network presented several institutions, including the FHLBC, with the Fair Housing Partnership Award for this joint effort.
The FHLBC provided a $72,000 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) award to Common Wealth Development in 2011 for Jenifer Place. Common Wealth Development, Monona State Bank, Operation Fresh Start, the City of Madison HOME Program, and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services were among the institutions that collaborated on Jenifer Place and shared in the acceptance of this gratifying award.
