New AHP Online System Requires Members Gain Access to New eBanking Portal as Soon as Possible
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago’s (FHLBC) competitive Affordable Housing Program (AHP) helps member institutions support organizations working to address the affordable housing needs in their communities. The 2013 AHP application will be available online from April 29 to June 28, and we plan to make available more than $27 million—our largest allocation in recent years.

This year we have streamlined the application process by implementing a new system called AHP Online. The new system will be the only way to apply for a competitive AHP grant in 2013. Members will access AHP Online exclusively through our new eBanking portal, while sponsors will access it through a link on our public website.

Before the project sponsor can initiate an application in AHP Online, the member institution must have established at least one person from its organization as an authorized AHP user in the eBanking system. Selection of a member must take place before a sponsor can begin to initiate an application. Therefore, if a member institution plans on partnering with a sponsor this year to apply for an AHP grant, it must ensure that it utilizes the Administration capabilities in eBanking as soon as possible. The two steps members must take in order to access eBanking are as follows:
1. Have an authorized signer click “I Accept” in the eBanking Services Agreement, then follow the prompt to email the Agreement to the FHLBC.

2. Download the Corporate Certificate of Authority and Certificate of Incumbency for Board of Directors’ adoption and send the original to the FHLBC.
The documents described above are located in Information and Documents in eBanking.

We invite all members to apply for a 2013 competitive AHP grant and want to ensure a smooth and timely transition to the new AHP Online system. Please contact FHLBC Member Support at (855) 345-2244, option 0, with any questions you have about eBanking and authorizing AHP users. Please direct questions about the Affordable Housing Program to the Community Investment Group at (312) 565-5824.
