| MPF Program at Spring Conferences |
The MPF Program was well represented the past two months at conferences held across the country. These opportunities allow us to meet with PFIs and members of Home Loan Banks and provide them with information about the products offered under the MPF Program.
 The first conference we attended in 2012 was held in February by the American Bankers Association (ABA) in Palm Desert, California. More than 800 attendees enjoyed bag lunches packed in MPF Program-branded insulated lunch bags. Joan MacIntyre of Pilgrim Bank in Cohasset, Massachusetts, won the MPF booth’s Kindle Fire giveaway. The second conference we attended this year was sponsored by the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA). It was held in Nashville in March and was attended by more than 1,000 participants from across the country. Many attendees stopped by the MPF booth to talk about the MPF Program with our representatives.
Meanwhile, at the ABA Real Estate Lending Conference in Boston at the end of March, Paul Pouliot from the FHLBank Boston participated in a panel discussion on the topic of secondary market best execution for community banks.
