The agent selection period of the 2017-2018 Assumption Program ended on October 31. All company offers selected by that date are now locked in, and agents are no longer able to make changes or new selections. You may review the list of your approved depopulation offers on the TWIA Depopulation Website to verify which policyholders will be contacted.  

Policyholder Decision Period Dec. 1 to May 2018

If a policyholder wants their policy to transfer to the new carrier, they do not need to take any action. Their policy will automatically transfer on June 1, 2018. You will receive information about how to assist your policyholders who want to remain with TWIA in a future communication. Policyholders will have from December 1, 2017 until May 31, 2018 to elect to remain with TWIA.

Policyholders Receive Letters Dec. 1 
 
Beginning December 1, 2017, your policyholders with approved offers (offers you selected) in the Assumption Reinsurance Depopulation Program will be contacted by TWIA and the new company.  You will be copied on all TWIA communications to policyholders via email at the agency’s primary contact email address. Policyholders with approved offers will receive the following letters, along with any additional materials from the new carrier:
